Social Security Check Arrivals for June 2025—Don’t Miss Your Date

As June approaches, Social Security beneficiaries must be aware of the upcoming payment dates and eligibility criteria to ensure timely receipt of benefits.

June 2025 Payment Dates

The Social Security Administration (SSA) follows a structured payment schedule based on the beneficiary's birth date and other specific criteria:

  • June 3 (Tuesday): Payments for individuals who:

    • Filed for benefits before May 1997

    • Receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

    • Have Medicare premiums paid by the state

    • Reside outside the United States

  • June 11 (Wednesday): Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month.

  • June 18 (Wednesday): Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.

  • June 25 (Wednesday): Beneficiaries with birthdays after the 20th of any month.

Note: SSI payments are typically made on the 1st of each month. However, payments are issued on the preceding business day if the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday.

Eligibility Criteria

To receive Social Security benefits, individuals must meet specific eligibility requirements:

  • Retirement Benefits:

    • Must have earned the required number of work credits (typically 40 credits, equivalent to 10 years of work).

    • Be at least 62 years old to claim early retirement benefits, with full retirement age varying based on birth year.

  • Disability Benefits (SSDI):

    • Must have a qualifying disability that prevents substantial gainful activity.

    • Have earned sufficient work credits, with requirements varying based on age at the time of disability.FingerLakes1

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI):
