But when will you receive your April 2025 TANF payment?

That depends on where you live. Each state follows its own schedule, meaning deposits arrive on different dates depending on local policies and eligibility codes.

Below, we break down the payment timelines for two major states: Texas and Florida.

TANF Payment Schedule for April 2025

Texas TANF Payment Dates

In Texas, TANF payments are scheduled based on the last digit of a recipient’s Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number. Here’s when beneficiaries can expect their funds:

  • EDG # ending in 0 → April 1

  • EDG # ending in 1 → April 3

  • EDG # ending in 2 → April 5

  • EDG # ending in 3 → April 7

  • EDG # ending in 4 → April 8

  • EDG # ending in 5 → April 9

  • EDG # ending in 6 → April 10

  • EDG # ending in 7 → April 11

  • EDG # ending in 8 → April 12

  • EDG # ending in 9 → April 15

Florida TANF Payment Dates

Florida distributes TANF benefits through the Florida ACCESS card, an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system.

Payments are based on the last two digits of a recipient’s case number:

  • 00–03 → April 1

  • 04–06 → April 2

  • 07–10 → April 3

  • 11–13 → April 4

  • 14–17 → April 5

  • 18–20 → April 6

  • 21–24 → April 7

  • 25–27 → April 8

  • 28–31 → April 9

  • 32–34 → April 10

Check With Your State for Exact Dates

While this guide covers Texas and Florida, other states have their own TANF payment schedules.

If you live elsewhere, check your state’s Department of Human Services (DHS) or welfare agency website for deposit dates.

Staying informed about your TANF payments ensures you can plan your finances effectively and avoid unexpected delays.

If you haven’t received your deposit on the expected date, contact your state’s TANF office for assistance.
